C-ism Meditation

There are many pathways to become established in the state of the unified field - to become one with Pure Consciousness/ God.  Below are two meditation processes that will help bring harmony and peace within yourself and become aligned with the unified field within.  It is not necessary to have any particular religious belief to practise these methods – they are designed for everyone – regardless of belief system.

MEDITATION ON AUṂ
Please view the image above of the model of the Unified Field and the directions of the arrows and then read below:
Field 12 = AUṂ = So'ham = 1:0 = the breath (exhalation:inhalation)
Field 7 = crown of head = freedom from thought
Field 6 = the mind/thought
Field 4 = the heart
Field 1 = the base of the spine
Through meditation we can begin to understand that the state of AUṂ or cosmic pulse, is the state of Field 12 of the Unified Standard Model, and is the essence of our being – i.e. our true identity.  The practice of aligning the breath with the repetition of the mantra (either So'ham or 1:0), serves to align our being with the binary state of the cosmos - the cosmic pulse of Pure Consciousness Itself.  This binary state can be perceived to be the two central lines in the diagram above.  These two lines represent the states of 0 and 1 or states of So and ham.  They exist within the very centre of our being.  This pulsation travels back and forth between the base of the spine and the crown of the head.

There are four important aspects to meditation.  These are:

  1. The intention for enlightenment – i.e. becoming one with God/Pure Consciousness

  2. Breath

  3. Mantra

  4. Posture

Each of these aspects need to be woven together during meditation to help encourage and sustain the inner state.  With the above information in mind, meditation can begin:
Preparing for meditation

  • Have a clean and quiet space for meditation.

  • If you have a sacred space or altar dedicated to the aspect of the Divine that you worship, please light a candle here.  You may also like to offer a freshly picked flower and light some incense, but this is optional.

  • You may like to have a special meditation shawl or a special set of clothes that you keep just for meditation.  Bathing before meditation is optional, but it is highly recommended in order to purify your body and prepare it for meditation.

  • If meditating in the morning, it is best not to eat just beforehand, as the body’s awareness will be drawn away from the state of meditation to the process of digestion.

  • Decide beforehand that nothing will disturb you during your meditation practice.  This means that if the phone rings, dogs bark or lawnmowers buzz, that you continue undisturbed with the time for meditation.  Obviously using discrimination is important – if the doorbell rings and you know it is someone who needs to see you, then you must attend to that, but overall have the intention to be undisturbed.

  • Begin your meditation by chanting some sacred syllables to purify your state.  Such sacred phrases as:  Om Shantih Shantih Shantih / God, please be with me/ Christ be with me/Peace be with me/Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ or just a long A-U-Ṃ.  Some people may just want to utter word that is sacred or special to them or  just repeat "I now purify this space".  The important thing to remember here is that you are purifying the space through sound and setting the intention to go within and experience the inner bliss of the Self.  Ringing a bell is also useful too.

  • Now take a comfortable posture, either in a chair or sitting easily in a cross-legged posture.

  • Allow your spine elongate and your chest to expand.

  • Make sure that your sitting bones (the bones that you sit on in your buttocks) are straight and have a firm foundation.

  • Place your hands one on top of the other in your lap – palms down or alternatively gently place your hands on your knees in the chin mudra position (see image).

  • Gently close your eyes.

  • Become aware of the breath - coming in and going out; coming in and going out.

  • Allow the breath to just be.  Just watch the breath for a few times, feeling it gently coming into the body and flowing out.

  • Now imagine your body as the unified field.  Place yourself in the diagram of the unified field  (shown above) with the crown of the head at Field 7, your heart at Field 4 and the base of the spine at Field 1.  Imagine Field 12 or the state of Pure Consciousness existing above you, with Fields 11-8 underneath it.

  • Feel yourself AS the unified field - extending from the base of the spine all the way up to Field 12 - the primordial state of Pure Consciousness.

At this point there are two methods of meditation set out below:  So’ham Meditation or Nought:One Meditation.  Choose the one with which you feel most aligned.

So'ham Meditation

  • Now begin the process of weaving the mantra So'ham with the breath.

  • On the out breath repeat So.  On the in breath repeat ham.

  • Bring the awareness of the breath to Field 12 that is the state of AUṂ residing way up above the top of the head.

  • With an exhalation from Field 12 repeat So.  Allow the vibration of So to travel all the way down the centre of the spinal column to Field 1 at the base of the spine.

  • When So reaches Field 1 at the base of the spine, let it just rest and merge there.

  • Then on the inhalation from Field 1 at the base of the spine, repeat ham.  Allow the vibration of ham to travel all the way back up to Field 12, to AUṂ.

  • When the state of ham reaches Field 12, let it just merge and rest there.

  • Then as you exhale from Field 12 repeat So.  Allow the vibration of So to travel all the way down the centre of the spinal column to Field 1 at the base of the spine.

  • When the state of So reaches Field 1, let it just merge there.

  • Then as you inhale from Field 1, repeat ham.  Allow the vibration of ham to travel all the way back up to Field 12, to AUṂ.

  • When the in breath of ham reaches the state of Field 12, let it just merge and rest there.

  • If thoughts arise during the meditation process, be easy with them.  See them as wave forms on the surface of the ocean of Consciousness that exists between Field 12 and Field 1.  Just let them subside.  Do not be disturbed by your thoughts, just allow your intention to silently focus on repeating So'ham bring you back into alignment with the breath.

  • Whilst you are doing this, it may be good to visualise the out breath of So travelling down the right central green line of the unified field diagram and the inhalation of ham travelling up the left central green line of the image of the unified field.  In this way you can visualise the cosmic pulse of So'ham travelling down and up the two cosmic paths within you in rhythmic succession.  Only use this visual aid if it is helpful, otherwise just focus on the breath travelling up and down from Field 12 to Field 1.

  • Continue allowing the mantra to ride on the breath, with So on the out breath and ham on the in breath.  Do this for at least 20 minutes or up to one hour.

  • When you are ready to come out of meditation, do so gradually.

  • Gradually bring your awareness back to the body.

  • Allow your body to gently move from side to side.

  • Then when you are ready, you can open your eyes.

  • You may like to sit quietly for a while to reflect on your meditation experience, or you can write your experience or insights that you had during meditation in your journal.  Either way just be gentle with yourself.

  • You can then honour the Self within by placing your hands together and bowing to your Heart.

  • When you are ready carefully come to a standing position.

  • The time for meditation is complete.  AUṂ.

One:Nought Meditation

  • Using the image above, begin the process of weaving the mantra One:Nought with the breath.
  • On the out breath repeat One.  On the in breath repeat Nought.
  • Bring the awareness of the breath to Field 12 that is the cosmic causal state residing way up above the top of the head.
  • With an exhalation from Field 12 repeat One.  Allow the vibration of One to travel all the way down the centre of the spinal column to Field 1 at the base of the spine.
  • When the vibration of One reaches Field 1 at the base of the spine, let it just rest and merge there.
  • Then on the inhalation from Field 1 at the base of the spine, repeat Nought.  Allow the vibration of Nought to travel all the way back up to Field 12, back home to 0:1.
  • When the state of Nought reaches Field 12, let it just rest there.
  • Then as you exhale from Field 12 repeat One.  Allow the vibration of One to travel all the way down the centre of the spinal column again to Field 1 at the base of the spine.
  • When the state of One. reaches Field 1, let it just merge there.
  • Then as you inhale from Field 1, repeat Nought.  Allow the vibration of Nought to travel all the way back up to Field 12, to 0:1.
  • When the in breath of Nought reaches the state of Field 12, just let it be there.
  • If thoughts arise during the meditation process, be easy with them.  See them as wave forms on the surface of the ocean of Consciousness that exists between Field 12 and Field 1.  Just let them subside.  Do not be disturbed by your thoughts.  Just allow your intention to silently focus on repeating One: Nought bring you back into alignment with the breath.
  • Whilst you are doing this, it may be good to imagine the out breath of One travelling down the right central green line of the unified field diagram and the inhalation of Nought  travelling up the left central green line of the image of the unified field.  In this way you can visualise the cosmic pulse of One:Nought travelling down and up the two cosmic paths within you.  Only use this visual aid if it is helpful, otherwise just focus on the breath travelling up and down from Field 12 to Field 1.
  • Continue to allow the pulsation of One:Nought to ride on the breath, with One on the out breath and Nought on the in breath.  Do this for at least 20 minutes or up to one hour.
  • When you are ready to come out of meditation, do so gradually.
  • Gradually bring your awareness back to your body.
  • Allow your body to gently move from side to side.
  • Then when you are ready, you can open your eyes.
  • You may like to sit quietly for a while to reflect on your meditation experience, or you can write your experience or insights that you had during meditation in your journal.  Either way just be gentle with yourself.
  • You can then honour the cosmic state within yourself by placing your hands together and bowing to this state within you.
  • When you are ready carefully come to a standing position.
  • The time for meditation is complete.  0:1
